Want tips from a Pro?

A friend of mine has a stream at twitch.tv for World of Warcraft. Even if you’re just a casual gamer and just want to know information about new raids or upcoming patches, this is the guy you want to talk to. His character is known as Brotatoe and he’s guild master of “GOOGLE ME.” His character is a hunter and he plays on the khadgar server; alliance side and which i’m also a part of. Our guild is in the top 10 on the server and they raid every week. Check out Brotatoe’s Stream here!

My Creation Theory for World Mythology

For my World Mythology class at Full Sail University,  I had to make up a creation theory. Keep in mind this is completely make believe 😉  Let me know what you all think!

 Terra

In the beginning there was darkness, and in that darkness marveled a bright and glowing being known as The One. (Supreme Being: The One is the one that crafted the universe) For thousands of years, The One wondered in the darkness searching for his purpose. Tired from all the searching, The One closed his eyes and started to contemplate the meaning of his life. As he was floating through the darkness, he realized that something was missing in his life, light. Grasping that he had plenty of light to share, The One took pieces of his light and dispersed them throughout the darkness, calling them stars. Satisfied with his work, he floated around for a while studying what he had done.

Once again, The One began to feel like something was missing. Like last time, he closed his eyes and let himself just drift. He opened his eyes and understood that he didn’t have anyone to talk to and to appreciate his work! He closed his eyes once more and tried to imagine the brightest and most striking thing conceivable. The One thought so hard that he was enfeebled and lost consciousness. When he awoke, he saw precisely what he had imagined. What he had created was so bright, that it made his stars almost vanish. To fix this, he took what he had created and extinguished it’s light. After, he began to roll it in a ball with his hands. He then began dispersing each ball he fashioned throughout the darkness, making sure each ball was correctly lit.

The One recognized his work was done and decided to create his successor. He knew who ever took his place had to be compassionate, pardoning and supporting. He summoned up every last grain of strength he had left and produced Terra. Understanding that his work was done, he extinguished his light and fell into an everlasting slumber. (Generations After: Terra was The One’s successor and became in charge of creating the rest of the universe and creating life from what The One created) Terra began looking at what her father had created. After a few thousand years of wondering around, she began to grow unhappy. Terra sat down on one of her father’s formations and started weeping.  She cried so much that her tears began to cover the ground where she sat. Terra bawled herself to sleep and had a terrible nightmare. It was about tiny beings that were swarming all over her and calling her mother. When she awoke the tiny beings were gripping on to her for dear life. It appeared that her tears had washed off tiny beings on her figure and they were holding onto her for dear life so they wouldn’t drown. (Birth: When Terra cried herself to sleep, her tears washed off tiny creatures, this created the creatures of Terra)

When Terra saw the creatures, she immediately fell in love with them. Being that she covered what she called Terra with her tears, the tiny creatures didn’t have anywhere to go.  She felt pity for them and with her last ounce of strength she split her body apart into several large pieces of land and scattered them throughout Terra. (Diver’s Myth: Terra felt sorry for what she had done to the tiny creatures of Terra, So she split herself into several pieces of land for them to live on)  For a few hundred years, life was peaceful. The creatures lived in harmony and worked together to make life enjoyable. But over time, the creatures forgot about Terra sacrificing her body for them to live on.  As the creatures multiplied, so did their beliefs. They broke off into what they called “Clans” and started warring with each other. Land was burned and life was taken. Terra will never be the same again. (Loss of Innocence: After Terra gave herself to the creatures of Terra, life was calm. But over time the creatures lost their faith with Terra and began to war, murder and burn)

7 Deadly Sins

Saw another post on the forums pertaining to the chapters or acts that will divide the campaign of diablo 3 up.  This is just an observation the person made,, but reading it made sense to me. In one of the Diablo 3 videos, a group is fighting this monster known as the “thousand pounder” But his real name is gluttony incarnate. For the ones who don’t know, the 7 deadly sins are: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. Now if i did my homework right, in the book “Dante’s InfernoHell is divided into several levels. Each of those levels are of course the 7 deadly sins. Just thought i’d share this information

Recent Rumors: Possible Spoiler

Was reading through the forums and some people were talking about the storyline. I read somewhere that after Baal was killed and his spirit left his body that it supposidly possessed Tyrael. After he destroyed the Worldstone Keep, he went missing and hasn’t been seen since. And then they talk about him destroying the heavens or something. I’ m not that savy when it comes to the lore but does anyone know anything about this?

Games to play while waiting for Diablo 3

A while back i talked about how Torchlight did well when it went to console here. Torchlight is almost exactly like Diablo 3 except for it doesn’t have multiplayer. Although, when Torchlight 2 comes out there will be. It’s made by some of the old developers from Blizzard North. There are a million items you can gather and you can explore countless numbers of dungeons.  Darkspore is another MMORPG that i would highly recommend. If you have ever played the game Spore, think of how you can make monsters and throw in a little hack and slash and that’s Darkspore. Darkspore comes out the 26th of April and i will be trying to make a blog about it here. Obviously if you click on it its going to take you to a BLAH page. I’ll update it as soon as it comes out. I have tons of beta footage recorded and i didn’t want to get in trouble showing it. But there’s a youtube channel that coincidently has my webpage as a username. You can check that out here 😉

Most Anticipated Game of The Year?

Along with Diablo 3 being  in development for several years. There has been a rumor going around the web that Blizzard plans on releasing the game towards the end of the year. If this is true would you say that this could be the most anticipated game of the year? If not, then what game do you think would be considered that?

What I call a good game

For a game to be good it has to meet one  of my  most important standards. A game can’t be just single player. First game that comes to mind is a game called Fallout 3. AMAZING game yet it lacked the one thing that grinds my gears, multiplayer. Back before they fixed the game’s ending, you would beat it and be like “WHAT???” And the only way to play it  before was to have a earlier game save and skip the final mission. Singleplayer may have been cool a couple of years ago, but now it’s not. Multiplayer is the best way to keep a game “alive”  Of couse the downside of this is now game developers are making games shorter and shorter and focusing on the multiplayer aspect. But honestly, i’m cool with that. But i’m not cool with spending 60-70 bucks on a game just to player online with people. Because then you have to pay for game addons, monthly subscriptions and so forth. As long as the game can provide a somewhat satisfying storyline, and maybe provide the opportunity to play with people through that, that would bring me one step closer to consider buying the game. There are plenty of games out there that are short but provide endless possibilities online. Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War and Bulletstorm are some of the games that i can think of off the top of my head.

My most memorable moment in gaming

Just off the top of my head, one of my most memorable moments come from a game called Runescape. Back in the day when i first started out, pvp was very popular. What you basically did was strap on some crappy armor and weps and went out hoping to find someone either lower level than you or wearing armor worse than you. Me and 2 of my friends went out in a place the game calls “The Wilderness.” As we came near the end of the road, we saw someone. As soon as we caught up to him we realized we had ran into a huge clan. Since I always stuck in the back (because I’m a coward) I took off. My other 2 friends didn’t stand a chance. I managed to make it out of there alive. So that’s my most memorable moment, aside from making me look like a total coward. What’s yours?

PC to Console…

Not too long ago, G4 had a posted some facts about an interview with the CEO of Blizzard, Mike Morhaime. Click here to read the article

To sum it up, they talked about how well Torchlight did when it was sent over to the console. They wanted  to have the option of making the game more accessible to people. And in my opinion, that also grants them more income. Personally i believe that this game should belong to only PC.  Blizzard loves money, just look at how World of Warcraft works. There are plenty of games out there for consoles, let us PC gamers have ours. To be a PC gamers, is to be part of a dying breed. People have to spend lots of money upgrading their computers to keep up with today’s hottest games. What do you think?

The Interview

Since I’m require to have a interview pertaining to the site. I picked a fellow gamer of mine to ask a few questions about diablo 3. Enjoy!

Also, this video isn’t of best editing. I hate macs and i suck using them.
